Natural stone usually refers to structures built entirely of thick, heavy stones. Stone veneer is a thin layer of stone applied to another material, such as concrete or wood, to provide the appearance of stone without its full weight.

You can use masonry to add high-end detail almost anywhere. Some popular options include pillars, low walls, steps, patios, and fireplaces.

Minor hairline cracks may occur in mortar joints over time, but we prevent significant cracking by installing proper footings, using high-quality mortar, and ensuring proper drainage.

Dry stack stonework relies on gravity and precise fitting to hold stones together without visible mortar. It allows for natural drainage and has a more rugged look. Mortared stones are joined together with mortar for a more permanent structure and finished appearance.

Stonework is very low maintenance. Most stone accents only need an occasional rinse with a garden hose or a gentle scrub with a soft brush and detergent to remove moss or dirt. We may also recommend a sealer for certain types of stone to protect against fading and staining.
